Hello everyone,
This morning I slept in a little. It was quality sleep. Listening to the rain fall outside my window, I peacefully slept and let my mind wonder whereever it so choose to. FInally I woke up around 8 and started the daily grind.
I normally wake up, eat breakfast, then hit the gym. This morning waking up at 8 AM, I didn’t want to eat then wait an hour or two for the food to digest before embarking on the weights. To combat this, I decided to train fasted.
Training fasted is a pretty argued over topic, but truth be told I have never really had a problem with it. I mixed up 1 scoop of my MusclePharm Assault and drove of to the gym to tackle the Cory Gregory MusclePharm Pres workout of the day.
This workout was insane. Today I hit Bic’s and Tric’s. It was composed of 6 rounds of 5 exercises performed in a circuit. 1. Tricep Heavy Push-downs (20 reps) 2. Straight Bar Curls (15 reps) 3. Skull Crushers (20 reps) 4. Bench Dips (20 reps) 5. Incline DB Curls (15 reps). WOW The pump and the pain my arms were in was unreal. I took about 2 minutes rest inbetween circuits and man was I wiped.
To cap my workout, I threw on a military weighted vest and supersetted chin ups and dips in a 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 fashion.
Throughout my workout I sipped on MusclePharms Amino1 product to keep me hydrated and anabolic being fasted. I then washed down a Optimum Nutrition whey shake after everything.

Supposedly you aren’t suppose to have a ton of energy if you don’t eat first but I find I have my best workouts on the weekend when I wake up, do like you did and take a scoop of protein and hit the weights. Maybe it’s because I’m better rested then on weekdays but I don’t know, I love it!
Yeah I did it all last semester when I hit the gym at 530 AM and I still do it Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 5 AM when I do a fitness bootcamp. I find I have no problem and think very clearly LOL. I think people focus too much on the science of it rather then just training hard. 20 years ago when there was no study on it I’m sure plenty of people performed it and built plenty of muscle. Its all in your head in my opinion
Yeah I think you are onto something! I think bottom line if you work your tail off and eat right you WILL get results!
Absolutely! Haha now we just have to rely that message to every one who is more concern about the sciene rather then the work LOL. I feel that people fall into the same train of thought with overtraining. Don’t even get me going on that topic HA
Haha I posted once that if there was one thing I was definitely bad at in this fitness world it was rest. Someone responded and said rest days are just something that lazy people who don’t want to do the work made up to give themselves an excuse! Loved it!
Yeah thats an awesome response! Who needs rest?? Your only in the gym an hour a day, that gives 23 hours to recover!
